Hello guys,

My 2003 Liberty was standing still for a few weeks.
Now it has developed a problem which won't go away.
When i slight turn to the right while driving there is a rubbing noise like metal to metal.
When i steer further to the right there is no noise at all.
The sound also occurs when i apply the brake.
When i turn left there is no noise at all.
The sound is much more hearable in the passenger seat.
Also, when i slowly drive i hear a sqeaking sound that goes faster when i drive faster.
Is a brake caliper not working properly or something?, i don't have a clue, maybe it is something else?

Weird thing is it only occurs during slight turning to the right and braking, same sound.

I checked the power steering fluid reservoir and without removing the cap from the power steering fluid reservoir i could see through the reservoir that it's at the right level.

Thanks.

i think its related to the brakes. Sounds like your pads are rubbing on the rotor. I assume the wheels are on tight and thats not it.

If your pads are still in once piece and not excessively worn you could have a sticky caliper bolt. IE the rods that the 2 smaller bolts go into on your brake caliper. The kit is cheap and available from napa. 14 bucks or something like that.

If your pads are shot, replace your rotors aswell at the same time.
