So i went out to start up my jeep today, to get it warm while i cleaned the snow off, and it gave me some trouble. It was a super rough idle that shook the entire thing. Sounds like a misfire, right? I gave it some juice to see if it was just a fluke, but then the check engine light flashed. Sweet. Definately a misfire. So i popped the hood, made sure all the connections to the spark plugs were solid, battery terminals werent loose, etc.

It has, however, been telling me that ive got LOW WASH and so i topped it off with what little i had in my garage. When i started it up again, it was fine. Drove it and didnt have any problems.

Is there some asinine sensor that is related to the wash fluid that would cause this? I cant think of anything else that would make this happen. Maybe it just hates the cold as much as i do...

Well that's the thing. I gave it the three key crank and it didn't give me anything. It said DONE and flickered a bit but didn't give me a code. And I changed my plugs and coil this past summer

Bad gas?
Throw some gas line antifreeze in there and a good shot of fuel staybilizer.
Cold motors don't like dino oil. Are you using 5-30 synthetic engine oil?
Maybe time to claen the throttle body intake with carb cleaner.

yeah its been fine ever since. i use just the standard castrol gtx oil. I bought some lucas oil injection cleaner for the gas tank, and its getting close to an oil change (about 400 more before the 3000 marker comes up) so ill change it in a couple weeks. I think it was probably just some fluke thing.
