Replace fuel pump

Had to replace fuel pump on my '04 Sport. Pulled back the carpet and there was no removable hatch, just an depression where the hatch would be. Would have had to remove a trailer hitch and a skid plate just to drop the tank, so I cut out the floor. Used an angle grinder. Hels it flat and as shallow as possible. Used a smaller cutoff disc for the corners. I pop riveted the cut out onto s piece of sheet metal and used self tappers (where I had enough room) to put it back. Hope this helps someone.

Oh, I like that. I always dread having to drop fuel tanks for fuel pumps. Seems absolutely ridiculous that anyone wouldn't put a hatch in place. That's some GM BS. :)

It is a bit strange that Jeep decided to quit putting in that little panel. Even when it was there, it was glued in place and kinda sucked to get off.

Not sure if it was a money savings thing or a safety thing... Idk...
