Was thinking about removing my rear sway bar. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this? How does this affect road driving?

4 bolts 18mm they are not even that tight, it's a 20min job, once you remove the bolts, just play with it until you get it off....that's the "hard" part, and I haven't notice any diference on the highway.....waiting to flex it to check it out.

good luck
Hector

btw I just did it in the morining :D

Search the forum for threads regarding this. There's lots of folks who say that they've removed it with no adverse effect other than a bit more "squat" during lane changes. I personally haven't taken mine off yet but will next time I go wheelin'. Take the "nuts" off too. From the sounds of it the damper doesn't do squat either.

My bad. Guess I wasn't paying that close attention.

Try this one:
After you have the jack stands in the postions shown above, use a jack to balance the axle so that you can unbolt the sway bar. Be cautious just in case there is any tension on the bar, there shouldnt be though. There are two bolts, and they are not torqued to a ridiculous amount so they'll come off fairly easy.
