Relearning

Is there anything that has to be relearned on the KJ after having the battery disconnected for a while? I remember my old Taurus had an entire ****** procedure after the battery was discnnected...but then again thats ford for you.

She short answer is yes. The computer will have to re-learn your "driving style". You probably won't notice any performance changes, but if you notice the engine running a little rough for the first little while don't be alarmed. You might also notice a decrease in MPG's until it relearns everything.

Chryslers are the same. The transmission uses fuzzy logic to "learn" your driving habits. Just drive normally.

so there is none of that run it for a minute in 1st then a minute in N then minute in R that ford recommends to "help" it?
