rear windshield wiper motor

I just bought an 03 KJ and trying to work all the bugs out of it.

The rear wiper motor makes a real funny noise. Its pretty loud. The only way to describe it is it sounds like the noise a penguin makes as heard on the discovery channel. Both directions. However it works fine.

Is it normal for the rear wiper motor to make this funny noise?

Uh...no, mine is quiet with no funny noises.

Flip the arm up away from the glass and turn it on and see if you still hear it, just to make sure its not just a worn blade squaking on the glass...
