So i went off roading yesterday night[emoji6][emoji16].. problem is when i got back to pavement, there was a strange sound on the rear pass side. I had a buddy bounce on that side and sure enough it sounded like the rear strut was making a funny light clanking sound from the mount. I was wondering... can i unbolt the strut on the bracket side that connects to the body without damage/ killing myself? I just want to inspect it to see if maybe something got lodged in it or possible bent without completely tearing into it.

The rear shock? Yeah, you can unbolt it, but unbolt at the bottom otherwise it'll be hard to get back on. Sounds like a blown shock. Been there done that!

The sound according to ear and feel is from the upper bolt. I tightened it a little bit then i tried shaking again, it rattles less now. Is it possible just to unbolt from the upper and inspect the bracket?
