Rear hatch removal

Does anyone have any practical experience removing the rear glass hatch? I need to remove some surface rust before it gets too bad, and the only way I can get my tools in the window well is to remove the glass. Thanks

Very easy, just flip up the covers on the hinges and unbolt the glass
Can remove in just a few minutes

I have a bad habit of seeing things on YouTube and saying, hey I can do that. To find out it was way more complicated than the camera showed. So thanks

well I do at times to see how stupid some are and how they can make a easy job hard
