Can anyone tell me if there is something I need to do specifically when refilling the coolant in my 2006 jeep liberty automatic? I usually just fill a vehicle from the overflow tank, seal the cap and drive it a mile or so and check it again... am I supposed to fill it and then start the vehicle with the overflow cap not on, waiting for some bubbles in the overflow for air to escape?

Good link below.

Refill info right from the service manual. Some added help tips too.

I've actually had a better experience removing the threaded plug from the metal connector where the top hose goes to the engine. If you fill with that open until coolant runs out there seems to be very little air to purge. You don't have to do this but it seems to help me.
