There are several online companies that advertise that if you send them your pcm they will test & repair it or send you another one & take your old one for a core . Some of these companies offer a lifetime warranty .
I purchased one with a lifetime warranty & it didn't work properly when I received it so I sent it back for repair . I received an email today saying the problems with it couldn't be resolved so they issued me a full refund .
I'm hesitant to use this company again so I'd like to know if anyone knows of one of these companies that they'd recommend . The pcm I'm dealing with is for a 2005 3.7 Liberty .
Does anyone know if a pcm from another liberty will work without programming if it has numbers that match the original ?

I sent it to the company I purchased the rebuilt pcm from for a core . I questioned them about it after they issued the refund & they said they would have to check their cores & get back with me .

How come you're replacing it? Just curious, I'm having an issue that I suspect might be a bad PCM. Not sure.

I was replacing the original because I kept getting a code for # 4 injector . I swapped coils & injectors around & did extensive testing of the wiring . I finally found that the ground signal pin in the pcm for # 4 injector had a constant reading to pcm case / ground & the pins for other injectors didn't .
