Oil change

I only get fluids/filters and hardware when needed at Pep or any other chain store. All my parts come from RockAuto or a local parts house (they supply all the local shops here).

None of those places has anyone on the counter that has a frickin' clue about parts. My local parts house generally can identify a part on my ancient RV just by looking at said part.

If I had a Pep Boys close I still wouldn't shop there,
to me they are the same as Autozone, Advanced and O'Reilys great places to buy wax and thats about it. Plus none of the staff know anything except what kind of neon lights goes under your Honda, ( well not many of them) .

No Pep Boys here. Been in Pep Boys once and bought a MV 50 air compressor which works ok and lives in the jeep. (kind of like a cheap Vi-Air) The only national chain in town here is NAPA. They are all "car guys" there and know what they are talking about and all the shops around here use them. I usually use them. Other than that, I use Walmart for oil but they are not close so I stop there only occasionally if I am in the area and get oil there as they are cheaper. Or I will go to the dealer parts dpt for OEM stuff (not oil).

Here they are all knowledgeable..Napa is the only one that carries Surf City Garage stuff though.

Day started very badly forgot some paper at home and my cutting plier were stolen during the break, got to buy some new one for 30$...
But then I went to my store to get some oil and filter and both the filter and the oil filter cap wrench scanned at the wrong price so according to the local law they have to give them to me
Got a free mobil one filter and a fram cap wrench.

Then it got bad again it's raining like there is no tomorrow so the oil change will have to wait few more day.
