Hi Again,

I've been following some of these posts for a few months...
I find the seats in the KJ very hard, and the wife (short legs) really does not like 'em.

she is even thinking of selling the KJ to go for a CVR or something

So, to compensate, I would like to swap the seats with something a little more 'car like'....

Has anyone tried this?
can it work?

I know I read a few posts from folks who swapped over to the leathers, and someone mentioned maybe that the pt cruiser ones would fit.... any results?
would a neon seat work?
or how about the manual adjustable kk seats - can those work?

or has anyone shaved their seats down for a more custom feel?

Once I get the seats sorted, I'll try and add some heat to 'em

Thanks in advance for your advice.
Brian:cool:

The '02-'04 seats were softer. Might wanna give those a try. If you already have an '02-'04 then I don't know what to tell you because the '05-'07 are worse.

I can't answer a whole lot about the seat swap, but I will say - I think Neon seats are just as bad, at least the older vehicles.

As far as the heaters, not bad at all to do. I put them in my wife's G6 last year. She loves them.

i have an 07 and my seats are hard. when i bought it with 31 miles on it i thought they just needed to break in, 25,000 nothing has changed (25,000 miles later). for a while i thought was going to have to change them but when ever i thought about it i realized they weren't really that uncomfortable. been on long drives taken an occasional 1-2hr nap and i no longer feel the urge to look for new seats. i will buy seat covers though, my prefrence for driving with my windows open all year long has taken its toll on these easily stainable seats (any one else have stain issuse even from just water?)

Yup, I am close to pulling the trigger on the Mopar neoprene seat covers. I am tired of the easily stained seats, and don't want to take co-workers or especially clients out in my vehicle with them in their current state. I am going to pick up the Mopar ones soon I think, I just got sidetracked with a few other expenses.

Those do look phenominal. My issue is I don't want leather or synthetic leather material. Neoprene or regular old fabric are OK in my book.

Those are pretty sweet. I've got the Jeep/Mopar neoprene units since we also have a PT that has that crappy "please stain me" seat fabric. Best money I've probably spent. Found them on a craigslist add. $100.

I just wanted them because they are tough and so easy to keep clean. Case in point this AM: I found out that apparently one of my dogs got sick on the back seat yesterday.

(since he decided to eat my son's Star Wars action figure). I didn't see it last night because it was dark when we went out. It was dried and ICK this morning! But a wet shop towel, some disinfecting spray, and 2 minutes later it was as good as new. I can imagine the mess I would have had with the cloth seats.

I too have a '04 Liberty Sport and have no problems with the seats, aside from the fact that if they get a liquid on them they stain.
I bought a portable carpet/upholstery cleaner and that seems to do the trick.
Those iggee seat covers are nice.
I'm actually in the market for a remote opperated mobility device that will help me out of the vehicle.
