Went wheeling last weekend and got a little aggressive with the water :signs75:

Now whenever the efan cycles on there's a bit of grinding noise and a vibration I can feel sitting in the Jeep. Guessing some water got in there and messed up the bearings. Are Spectra Efans any good?

Thanks!

Pics to follow of the wheeling!

You could try taking the efan apart and spray it with with something like Q20.

I have fixed a lot of computer related fans this way in the past.

Maybe do this as a temp measure until you obtain a new efan.

My 2002 Export 2.5 CRD did not come with an efan...only on later models. I am looking to find one at a Breaker yard to fit so as to improve cooling.

Crap I forgot all about those! LOL. Feel free to give them to anyone else in need.

Just ordered a TYC one from Rockauto, they seem to get good reviews.

Put in a TYC one last night. Took 20 mins. Looks identical to the OEM one. Seems good! 1/3 the price of Mopar!

Yeah I run ones from Advanced after killing the original with water/mud. Now I just swap them out under warranty. Typically they last until I forget to turn the AC off before going into a deep hole.
