Okay. Update. Today I decided to tackle the glow plug job, and I’m having a bit of a time getting all of the nuts off of the egr valve/elbow to get the thing out of the way. There’s not a lot of room in there.
While fighting with that, I decided to pull the #1 plug out and check it. It’s a 5 volt plug. The decal on my timing cover says the Liberty came with 7 volt plugs. And the PO actually gave me a set of 7 volt plugs that he said were almost new. So that’s issue #1. Which plugs should I be using?
Second, when I test the plug on the bench I get 1.3 ohms of resistance. Google says it should be under 1 ohm. But 1.3 is close to being under 1.
And lastly, how can I check to see if there is actually power going to each plug? Any ideas?
