Ok, lookin for some black floormats for my Jeep. I usually start off with OEM stuff first during my searches, and never found true black, only "dark slate grey". Anyone here have "dark slate grey" carpet or rubber mats? I would either like your opinion on their true shade, or a picture of them to see what they really look like. I'd take them if they were dark enough but I prefer full on black.
Are they close? Anyone?

WeatherTech is the only way to go. Although I recommend the Jeep branded liner for the cargo area, as it's got cargo tiedown knockouts and is actually cheaper than the WeatherTech one.

I've got the slate ones, it's gray.

I have the oem rubber slate gray slush mats like these in my light gray interior:

Rubber Floor Mat Set of 4 LH RH Front Rear Slate Gray Slush Style for Jeep | eBay

I would say the picture they have in the listing is representitive, its a dark gray, not a true black.

I can take a picture if you need me to.

For the trunk I think I went with the husky trunk liner (black).

After two years, I'm very happy with the mats and trunk liner. All very high quality.

Yea. You guys got a line on these "weathertech"s? Because there's no way I'm spending 130 dollars on floormats for a Jeep lol. Maybe if I had a BMW X series or Cadillac lol but not for a utilitarian Jeep.

I love mine.

1) Fit - I hate ill-fitting floor mats sliding around under my feet and distracting me.

2) Durability - They look as good now as they did when I put them in a year ago.

3) Design - Going through Cleveland winters, having something to catch the slush and not let it rust out the floor of the Jeep is a huge bonus.

I used to buy what were in effect disposable floor mats. They all sucked. Add up what you would pay for multiple sets of floor mats you hate and the Weathertech's are really not much more expensive. And no, they do not pay me to say these things. :icon_lol:

This is a full set of floor mats from a Dark Slate Gray interior next to something that has true black color...sorry they aren't clean but I dragged them out of a storage shed for the pic, it's getting late here, and I'm whacked out on liquor and pain pills...HTH

Yeah, leave the price out of it. Just stress the warranty and point out how economical you are being by not having to replace them after every winter. :favorites13:

The Transfer Pump in the pic is there to show something that has black coloring as contrast to Jeep's stated floor mat color of "Dark Slate"...
