Picked up a Mopar bull bar off eBay. Brand new. Never installed. IM LOST. can't get the tow hooks off. The directions might as well be Chinese. Where do I start?! Does the grill have to come off? Good god. I'm not a mechanic but I know my way around a vehicle. ANY HELP would be much appreciated.

Thanks. Brandon

first:
if you want any help, or any useful help you always need to list year, model (sport limited etc?) and any modifications.
second:
search on google or here, or lostjeeps.com, then if you cant find it ask.

third:
i am assuming you have an 02-04 kj...

if you need more info than listed above be more specific. are you unsure of what bolt to undo? is the bumper cover in the way? are they rusted? stripped bolt heads?

Since you had yours right from the factory, you probably have this setup:

You must be registered for see images

That means that you're going to have to take the crush cans off of the tips of the frame under the bumper. The bumper HAS to come off. The reason I know this is because I INSTALLED these tow hooks.

On the other hand, I had an easy time removing the bumper because my flares DON'T have the pop rivets installed (I guess prior to my owning the vehicle, the front end had been taken apart........ :disgust:

Installed without bumper removal. Took about 2 hours. 1 ratchet click at a time. Lol. Came out great tho. Thanks for all the help everyone.
