MOOG k80767 won't go in my 06 2wd is it possible the salvage spindle is different?

I can't find the old ball joint I took out on the planet. Can't get the MOOG to go in with a press from AutoZone

There are 2 different lower ball joint tapers, looks like you ordered the later one, I wonder if you needed the early one for a 2WD??

In my 06 kj I have always used k80767. . maybe the piece of hours into belongs to a earlier model
