One location I noticed is the rear window. The pillar in the front part of the rear window is perfect. I think I'll put two black (4 cell I think) Mags. One on each window. I usually have to open the hatch to get to my emergency gear anyway.

Two things to consider before you do that.

One of my kids got in an accident in his Liberty (he has the seat mount 4 cell). The collision knocked the flashlight out of the spring steel brackets (and I thought they had a tight grip). If you mount yours high, you might have two heavy projectiles flying around if you get into an accident! I wouldn't want to get hit in the head with one!

If your mounting trim panel is a light color and you get your hands dirty or greasy while working with those flashlights, you may earn some permanent smudge marks around those mounts. Just a thought.

Charging the Maglite?

Any painless way of wiring this puppy in where it can be charging? I'd hate to need it and it be sitting in the charger at home.

for anyone who wants to buy these clips from home without rummaging around your local home depot store they are available from amazon.com, i ordered mine last night, plus a new 3-D flashlight in silver. the silver will be easier to see at nite (ie not lose in the grass) and should look good with the silver accents in the limited interior

An excellent thought. For those who already have black, a little reflective tape in your favorite color might also add night time visability.

Just my 2 cents, but I prefer the Streamlight rechargable flashlight. More candle power, and IMO more durable.

I've always been a Maglite chick, and since Libby's been a good girl so far, I think she'll be getting hers today or tomorrow, depending on how soon I can find the mounting brackets. I"m hoping the HD near me will have some. I didn't know they made brackets for my teeny little 2 AA, too! Woohoo! More places to put stuff! Lol.
