Never could find photos so I hacked it up.

I plan on using silicon on the threads to keep things from unravelling.

Missed a photo.

Let me know if my photos are too big bad or ugly and I'll try to change.

Pictures look good to me :waytogo:

I've heard of the mod but have never seen what it took to be able to separate the two halves. Does the bottom part of the shroud bolt to something so it stays in place when you pull out the upper half?

Bottom part of the shroud hangs on the radiator hooks. Bolts on added metal parts keep the big puddle from pushing it up into the fan. You could cut it lower and keep the hook tabs on the upper part and throw away the bottom part. Some cut it higher and just keep the very top part as a hand guard.

Spring breakup can bring freezing temps and deep puddles so I kept the bottom half just to keep all that away from the belt. Drove 150 miles from Anchorage once in weather like that and had an inch of ice on the grill for a few days. Don't know if serp' belts escape but I do know I don't want to wrench in that weather.
