My 2002 KJ overheated 2 times during hill climb,

m i missing something.

Do you have access to a code reader? If so I would definitely scan it for codes.

Mine got hot on a 3 mile hill ascent on pavement a few days ago. First time I had seen the dash temp gauge go above the middle. But I just got done wheeling it for 6 hours so it was already "warm." Crested the hill and coasted down and watched the temp drop. No issues ever since.

i think the electric fan is not working, i was checking the engine bay and found out that the previous owner has added a relay directly to one of the wires of the fan which kicks in when the ac is powered on but it wouldn't turn on when engine is hot. so i have ordered a dorman relay will replace it and check
