To go along with this thread, post up how many miles you have on your KJ, what year is it, and what repairs you've made.

Example:
05, 74k, nothing. (Seriously, knock on wood)

Serpentine Belt
Exhaust from the Cat Back
Front and rear, pads, rotors, and shoes.

86,000 miles

Parking brake ratchet assembly (needs to be replaced again)
Water pump
Ignition switch via entirely new steering column :mad:
Read diff pinion bearing has some problem with it-- makes some noise and has been for a while now.
Rear brake caliper.

New engine going in now as we speak. Previous owners killed it. :(

'02 with 151,***
AC compressor (went out last yr, rplc'd about 2 months ago)
Rear drums - will be replacing shortly
Battery (about 2 yrs ago)
Front brake lines last year
Radiator about a month ago

The stuff replaced was all OEM from when I bought the KJ new in Aug. '02.

For my 06 with 68,891:
Bought it last august and replaced a set of front wheel bearings and speed sensors the day after I got it since the PO kinda beat it. I bit later did rear brakes and an 02 sensor, and now front driveshaft..
Other then that just maintenance.

2005 Renegade purchased new oct, '05

29,675 miles

Upper ball joints replaced on a factory recall

rear brake pads, rotors, and calipers at 25,000 miles

New tires at 25,000 miles

New muffler....(rest of exhaust still serviceable).....at 29,000 miles

New plugs at 29,000 miles

switched to Mobile 1 at first oil change 3,000 miles

Installed K&N air filter at 8,000 miles

'05KJ - Catalytic Converter @ 48k, Transmission cooler lines at 69k
'06KJ CRD - 3 EGR valves between the miles of 000012 and 027714, CV shaft @ 22k.
'04KJ - Sway Bar Bushings @ 8k, O2 sensor @ 12k.

2005 Renigade 4X4 ,Bull bar with wench, 4" lift ,31x15 tires, preformance chip ,3.7v6, no sway bars (don't know why they even have them,rock solid at all speeds). 50,000 miles. Been everywhere my 1974 CJ-5 all locked up. Best rig sence the CJ.

As far as what's been replaced that isn't maintenance, that's it.
Well, brakes are maintenance.

'04 Liberty Sport 3.7L Auto 4x4, 69K miles. Bought it used with 57K miles.

So far, nothing other than maintenance items.

Keeping my fingers crossed...lol

2004 Kj with only 37000 miles. It's the years not miles....

At 6,000 they replaced ball joints recall and all brake pads (recall?)
18,000 the Trac Lok Clutches went.
22,000 the rear hatch defrost, one side of wiring had to be soldered back on.
24,000 rear lock electrical went on a fit, replaced the solenoid.
25,000 rear hatch rattling, tighten hinges and and adjust window too.
27,000 TCM hard shifts, fluid flush and re-program new software into PCM
28,000 brake and power steering fluid nasty, and front diff/transfer flushed.
29,000 CE light, replaced the TPS and Service throttle body, full cleaning.
30,000 battery bit the dust. replaced now in 2008 (lasted 4 years)
31,000 Front brakes a squealing, new front brakes done.
32,000 rear lower control arms bushings worn, installed new bushings.

2006 KJ with 34,000 miles.
Front Driver side window reg replaced.
Replaced the diff/fluids at 32,000. It's being driven but I haven't driven it in 4 months.:(

'05 Renegade at 130K kms (80K miles), I been driving it since new.

Nothing has broken that I didn't break.:D

So far this Jeep has been about as reliable as an anvil. Just regular maintenance, oil changes every 5K kms, diffs and transfer case at every 20K kms, a belt some u-joints, springs, shocks, brake pads.......

02' KJ Sport 4x4, 132k miles

purchased 9-11-09 with 126k miles

parts replaced:

Outer tie rods, lower ball joints, upper control arms (recall), passenger CV axle, front drive shaft, lower control arm bushings (where the strut connects), sway bar links, spark plugs, all 5 wheels & tires.

parts that will be replaced within the next few weeks:

rear upper control arm and bushings / ball joint, rear U-joints, driver side CV axle, front diff fluid, rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid, transmission fluid & filter, rear passenger window clip that snapped off.

parts that need to be replaced:

springs, shocks, wheel hubs (which I believe is causing my clunking over bumps), and a few other things.
