On the Air Farce base here in NC, the Security Police have a 05/06 Liby Sport, originally had a light rack on the cross luggage rack now it has inboard lights.

hmmm It now seems that this is turning into a KJ as a service vehicle thread so I looked through the folders on my computer (mostly found of flikr):

Lots of good pictures you have there! I could have used them when I was gonna put a lightbar on mine. Alot of those pictures have them mounted terribly. The curved roof isnt really a good surface.

Just as a FYI, Whelen Engineering makes a lightbar(s) specifically for the KJ.
They have a base model which mounts independent of the factory roof rails and can be used for whatever lights you want!

Yeah, they make a leveling bracket due to the curve of the roof. I don't think they are very effective in the middle of the vehicle. I went with an interior lightbar, which means less drag :smokin:

The one from Whelen actually mounts forward of the factory roof rails and mounts between the front door and the inner sheet metal.
The nice thing about that one is that you can mount it closer to the windshield!
Im agreeing with you. The problem with this is that you cant see the lightbar from the rear of the vehicle.
