OK, so finally getting around to posting pics of my Liberty. I would have gotten to it sooner, but I've been delayed by a chronic case of procrastination.

Here is it as I bought it in October of 2008. The first picture of it was, of course, taken at the rifle range

Then last May it got a bit of a transformation.
New UCAs, shocks, springs, Boiler's plates, clevis, extra isos, trans. and T/C skids.

Tear down of the rear.

Out with the old, in with the new

Also painted the wheels and put on new Goodyear SAs

And voila!

Still need to put on front tow hooks, and find fuel tank and engine skids.

Looks good so far! :D

Maybe one of these days we can get north and south (WI/IL) to meet up and run some trails sometime.

Thanks guys. I'm suprised how much the little suspension boost and painted wheels improved the look.

A few pics of interior stuff


2-D LED Maglight fits nicely on the passenger side of the console. A nice handy spot to mount it. Just make sure the glovebox door clears and the seat doesn't hit it when fully forward.

The "usual" mounting for a Fire Extinguisher.

If a start to wheel more, I'll probably mount another in the opposite window.

And the AmmoBox catch-all.

Bungeed down to the cargohooks on the floor so it's secure, but easy to move when I flip the seats down.

First Aid kit in the little cargo net spot to the right^^

The wheels need to be redone. The Duplicolor paint isn't holding up as well as desired, they have suffered a few chips and the lug holes are flaking out. The instructions said that primer was optional, I should have done that option:pp:

Once I get my eye surgeries taken care of and a few other stuff tidied up, I'll look into having them fixed. May try to use Duracoat. We've used it on a few motorcycle projects and it seems to work well. Maybe see how it holds up on a 4x4.

Also need to fix the front driveshaft CV, put the skids back on, mod a '05+ engine skid to fit, and get a fuel tank skid.

Rear suspesnion is a piece of cake. The front was a little more involved, but no too difficult. Tips on this forum helped a ton.
I'm not what you'd call a gearhead, but I can turn a wrench:smokin:

Once I get the front driveshaft back in, I'll post some action pics

Some rolled up rifle targets
An MRE (currently vegetable lasagna)
Snow Brush/scraper
Wool hat and Gloves
And a Brush Axe bungeed to the top.

(I put the 2 ratchet straps and collapsible H20 bottle back in after the pic)

Had to get out to check the deer blind today. A good enough excuse to roam the logging trails and let the KJ play a little.
