My left door mirror did give some problems by not wanting to fold outwards, but I sorted it out with Q20 spray (water displacer). Was most likely some electrical thing. No more hassles since.

Don't the US Spec KJ's with the Luxury Group package have the power, fold-away mirrors?

Elec Door Mirrors

When i was buying the KJ from the Dealer he told me that a common problem on them is that the elec mirrors (mainly LH side) can seize.

I've had it happen a couple of times with both sides and just folded them in and out manually. This cured it and they are now operating fine. Tends to occur in cold and wet conditions which would suggest water in the electrics. WD40 would cure it (it cures everything else)

In 2002, the Luxury Group offered Heated Power Mirrors - Folding. This means they are heated and are power-adjusting but fold away manually. North American KJ's never had the mirrors that fold using a motor.

But could this be an option to install if one in the US were to acquire some of these mirrors?

I see... so the heated part is the only "luxury". [-(

I had heated fold away power mirrors on my 2002 Dodge Ram. Nice option although it was only useful to me after a couple of icestorms we had.
