When you jack up the KJ, where do you place the jack? I put it where the manual says to put the factory one. Just wondering if there's a better/safe place.

Same place as the OEM jack goes works best,you can go under the front LCA's but the jack can slip out if your not careful and place the jack correctly.

I stick with what the manual says. Use the rear axle for the rear jacking. And use the little grove in the frame (just behind the front tires) for the front jacking.

I use the front skid a lot if I want to jack the entire front of the Jeep up to place jack stands under it. The lower control arms work but like tjkj said it can slip out if youre not careful. For the rear I just use the pumpkin..

Stock jack has a little slit which fits perfect underneath front arms and snug tight. You can see it in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7G08X1xrgg

You can jack up at the skid, but make sure you're also jacking up at the rear crossmember that it attaches to.
I use the skid all of the time on every one I have worked on to jack it/them up no problems at all works great!
I only use the stock jack to jack the diff away from the body when I am doing lifts by myself ! works great and don't have to have someone there to help!

X2 I got that tip from The Rev Tom. The base on the rear disc and the saddle leaned in to the unibody. Crank away until you can slip the spring in!
Since the lift I pack a 4x6 cut off to set the stock jack on for changing flats. The jack in the garage has a 4x4 cut off for laying on the saddle.
