Hello, I'm new here.

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Limited with the stock radio/CD player as shown below:

I'll be leaving for college within the next few months, and I'd like to install the RB1 navigation system, as I will be driving around in unfamiliar territory on a daily basis. I've found a couple of sources where I could buy the RB1 unit for about $600-$800. If anyone knows of any better deals, please let me know!

Anyways, my main concern is being able to install the actual unit and antenna. I have searched online but I simply cannot find any clear instructions for how to install this on a 2003 Jeep Liberty. I personally have no experience with modifying or installing electronics like this, so I'm a bit nervous about messing something up. Would my local dealership be able to perform the installation if I purchase the RB1 from a source other than them? Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions, and point me in the direction of any installation procedures for the RB1 unit!

I also found this site: http://www.puchika.net/JeeP/lib-rb1.htm

But I honestly cannot understand over half of those instructions. I guess the only way to learn is to do it, so I'll probably make this my weekend project. If anyone has any experience or knowledge of this type of upgrade, or if you have ANY advice for me, please let me know!

You can put the antenna anywhere you want. I just used double sided foam squares like for hanging posters and slapped it onto the underside of the dash.
