Injector to fuel rail retaining clip trouble

Hi,
I replaced a fuel injector on my 3.7, which involved removing the right hand fuel rail.
Upon reassembly, I found the retaining clips very difficult to position, ensuring I had the rail tab slotted into the clip.

Is there a trick to it? Has anybody got a tip for a tool to use?

Thanks. Sure don't want a fuel leak, though these are a secondary measure.

I was just disassembling parts from my motor swap. Boy are those clips a bugger.
I actually reused the railing from the new motor because I didn't want to deal with those clips, that and the new motor and injectors are 6 years newer than what I was working with.

From everything I've seen it is a matter of forcing those clip back. At least that is how one youtube video did it. Don't think this would well work on my old clips, it's a struggle to get them off, the easiest way could be pressing the new injector with new o-ring until the groves line up and then try pressing the clip back.

Those things are a PAIN!!

I agree with Conundrum2006 - just push down until the grooves line up then push those clips in. New clips would give me more confidence that they wouldn't deform when I pushed on them hard.
