How big are grille holes?

I'm looking into making grille inserts and I'm wondering if all holes are 9/3.5? I have an '06 and my friend has an '02. Would we need the same size? I could have him measure, but he's literally mechanically challenged. If you've made grille inserts and you remember the measurements could you please post your year and the measurements? Thanks!!

02 to 04 and 05-07 have completely different grills. They redesigned the whole front end for 05.
