hot air heater only works on 4

anybody have any ideas why my heater only works when the botton
is right round to four, no joy on settings 1-2-3 , only option take the matrix apart.

yep blower motor resister - not real hard to replace - had to do it on my wifes 04 alero with the exact same symptoms
