Ive seen a Wrangler with a Hi-Lift mounted on the hood in front, looked cool. Anyone seen or done one to a KJ?

I had a hi-lift and they are extremely heavy, probably too heavy for the hood supports to hold up..
I was thinking though maybe if you had just the 48" if it could slide under the backseat? i know i got an amp, stock jack stuff, heavy duty tow cable, small compressor and a set of jumper cables to fit under there right now.

Also for reference these are one of the mount (they got a couple different styles) they use on the hood, I used them to hold mine to my front bumper of my old XJ

Bmrrwolfe, that is a really nice XJ you have there.

As to the hi-lift mounted on the hood of the KJ, I think it would be better on the back or top. (as far as mounting it somewhere on the outside goes) Otherwise it would be better off inside so it doesn't grow legs and run off. It would be hard to use on a KJ unless you had good mounting points like an ARB and good aftermarket rock rails.

Thanks! it was a real nice jeep it was a loaded 2000 125k 3.5" RE lift, 32" tires 7" in dash tv/dvd/cd pioneer speakers and subs, trail jammer performance package hellas surco rack etc. but traded it even for my new stock 06 KJ 4x4 with 62k i figured a fair trade even though it needed some minor work!
Yeah not many points on the KJ to jack it up, just the trailer hitch?

Didn't mean to hi-jack this thread! :D
