im very interested in buying a 02 jeep liberty and just wanted to know a few things are the standard libertys any good off road as im looking to buy one for everyday use but to use off road from time to time also what would you recommend in view of modifications

the liberty is alright on some fairly mild trails. it will never be as capable as a well built solid front axle Jeep but it gets the job done. as far as mods go, just make sure you have tow points front and rear, just in case you get stuck. some skids to prevent you from pealing open your oil or trans pan apart if you happen to drag bottom. some OME coils and shocks for a small lift and some 245/75/16 mud or all terrains. once you do the basic mods youll probably get hooked and buy all kinds of stuff you dont need though, just to warn ya! who cares though, its all in fun.
