Hi, I have a problem. A few weeks back, my cherokee went into limp mode, but no engine light came on. I only had 2nd and 3rd gear and very slow acceleration and low max revs. I tried to cacel the limp mode by desconnecting the battery to clear it but always stayed. I had to take it to the Jeep garage. They had it for an hour and deduced that it was a seized wastegate valve. They advised them removing it and sending it to a turbo refurb centre and then they would reinstall it. Problem it that this would cost £1000. I want to try and remove it myself and then see if I could unseize it or send it away to be refurbed myself. Whenever I have needed to repair my cars in the past, I've looking on the internet and found instructions and photo's on how to do it, but with this, nothing.

Can anyone help? Has anyone had this problem with a jeep? My car is a 2003 2.8L CRD Cherokee/Liberty, 65k miles.

Thanks,

Simon
