you would be crazy to tow something that weighs as much as your KJ with out trailer brakes. My libby totes a 4300 pound camper over the mountians with 0 issues! I do have the tow package on my KJ. But I would NEVER think of it if the camper didnt have iots own brakes. IMHO thats just common sense!

agreed on the towing capacity, I tow a 4000lb camper in the summer and the Jeep really struggles. Braking is by far the worst, and there is no such thing as fuel savings when towing. I was using almost 1/3 of a tank for a 90km drive to the local provincial park.
