A local junkyard called me to day stating they found a 2005 jeep libert and it has the evic. After a short drive I was there and verified the numbers and it was the right one 56010 520AD and it works. My new issue is that they broke the surround console when they took it out. Does anyone know where to get one? A grey one with sunroof. Or if some one know the jeep stock number?

Congratulations!

For the surround look on eBay for a gray EVIC surround from an early-2000's Chrysler product. Most have the same dimensions as the Liberty's - I used one from a 2001 Chrysler 300. Had to mod the slot for the sunroof switch slightly but that was it. Fit perfectly.

One thing you may have to do is get the plastic bracket that is above the headliner that the EVIC attaches to - I think it's called the 'retainer.' Earlier Libby's had them from the factory whether they came with the EVIC or not - later years Chrysler stopped installing them during production. In the EVIC How-To there is a part number for it but you'll have to go through a bunch of posts to find it.

Let us know how it installs!

If you need that retainer bracket, I'd head back to the junkyard and pull it out. :)

You can get the surrounding plastic with or without the sunroof. Its really easy to dremel out a hole for your switch to go into. Just use the old domelight as a stencil. I did this and you cannot tell at all.
