Just noticed this morning that in the kj there is no air coming out of the vents on speed 2 and 3. The different positions work correctly it's the fan speeds that are messed up. What is the issue? Blower motor? Thanks

Yeah sounds exactly like the blower resistor pack as stated above! I think there's a more robust one that you can get (from a Sebring, or something? Little help someone?)

Yep, the resistor for the Sebring is the more robust part to use.

That resistor worked a long time in your KJ there HJ...
If I remember right the Sebring part is ok up to 2005.
Google search Sebring resistor is 5174124AA
Can anyone confirm this is the correct part number for the better resistor?
Edit: according to my post from 2011 it is..anyways..

Real easy.

Open glove box. Remove contents of glove box. Pinch in both sides of glove box (tabs at top of sides), let glove box drop free of the dash. Slide box to right and remove.

Blower motor resistor is literally right in front of you. 1 electrical connection & 2 screws.

While you're in there, vacuum off the metal screen to the right - that's the air inlet for Max AC and it tends to get dust, dirt, hair, fuzz all clogged up on it.

Thanks for the pics. Looked at it last night but couldn't get that lock thing out. Going to try again tonight.

Not the mountains.
Yeah that lock piece was stubborn on mine when I replaced it recently. Just keep working at it. It will eventually come out. You'll be feeling great once you put the new part in and all speeds blow air.

Yep. But I think I used a small flathead screwdriver to help things along, iirc.

That was on my friend's '04 Sebring so I was flat on my back working below the glove box, but I think so.

I just went with the KJ one. Just wanted to play it safe, the OE one lasted nearly 10 years so that's good enough lol.
