Anyone know what this part is called (the factory alarm).

I have keyless entry, but no alarm. I would like to install the factory alarm.

Thanks!

Aucutally, Lizzy - he's got an 04 so its different.

You'll want an EVSII (Same thing I installed)

This from MyDodgeParts.com.

82207139
$227.00 $227.00
$151.25 EVS II Security System w/Sentry Key and Interior Theft Senso
2002-2004 Liberty For vehicles w/remote keyless entry system, complete kit includespanic feature, interior theft sensor, Sentry Key immobilizer andelectronically coded ignition keys, no wiring needed.

You can do the shock sensor yourself, but the dealer needs to activate the alarm in the BCM. Don't attach this yourself, or you'll have to tow the jeep to the dealer.

Awww...you're right Blu, I didn't look to see in his signature for a model year.
Obviously I didn't put enough thought into my initial post! sad2.gif

Good catch!

What about if you have sentry key and remote keyless entry, but no alarm?

Then drop a couple hundred into a real alarm (Viper). In my opinion the factory alarm isnt worth the weight it adds to my vehicle..

And don't forget professional installation.

*Edit ~ The 'Sentry Chip' is really sweet, the rest of the factory alarm stinks. I've had someone hit my Jeep (mentioned earlier) and it didn't go off. (luckly I remember who parked infront of me the next morning when I saw it)
