Only one way to find out. It'***** or miss whether a GC EVIC will have all of it's functions work correctly in a KJ. 56010520AD and 56010527AD are the 2 part numbers listed for your '05, these 2 will be guaranteed to work with your vehicle. It's possible that the one you're looking at may work. Then again it may not. Every non KJ EVIC I tried, everything pretty much worked except for the temp display, it would not read it.

Read through the EVIC Install How-To for the details but if I remember correctly you need one from a Chrysler product from '05 and up. The interface changed in '05 from reading from the BCM to reading from ? (I don't remember now...)

I used an EVIC from a '99 Dodge Intrepid. Most everything works just fine (don't have an 'Open glass' warning cuz the Dodge didn't have a rear pop up glass...) and it's gray. I believe the only colors they come in are gray, camel/beige and maybe black. The shape of the EVIC unit is the same for all Chrysler products so no matter which one you get it will fit.

You may also have to order the plastic frame for above the headliner. Again, IIRC Jeep quit putting the frames in the headliner unless it came from the factory with the EVIC. Prior to '05 all Liberty's had the frame from the factory. Read the How-To for the details.

The module itself is the same regardless of vehicle, but the console it fits into varies between certain makes, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, 300M, Intrepid, etc have the same shape consoles. Rams used a couple different designs, as did Durangos and Dakotas.
