all the evic's that i have seen have one toggle switch to activate the sunroof. my 2006 liberty has a toggle type switch with a button in the middle to use the vent function. my question is, does this single toggle switch have any way to activate the vent function or is it just to open and close the sunroof? thanks for any help

I just so happen to have a 2004 EVIC in a housing with the toggle and vent button for sale ;)

My 02 has a switch to close the sunroof, a switch to automatically open the sunroof, and a button in the center of said switches to open the vent--to close the vent you have to use the same switch you used to close the sunroof. Umm...I'm not really sure what the question was, but that's how mine works:confused:

Can't comment definitively on the P/N, but an EVIC from a 2004 and later should work just fine on a 2004-2007 KJ.

a couple years ago when I did mine I could never find an evic with the right switch. I got an evic without a sunroof control and just dremelled a hole for it. Just use the old map light unit and make it the same measurements. That switch has a nice overlap so small mistakes will be covered up. Just make careful measurements to get it center and straight. The switch just snaps into the hole. I thought it was pretty easy. Just take your time.
