Ever fixed door actuator??

Has anyone here ever tried to fix the the door lock actuator? Both driver's side doors make the famous "goose honk" sound when locking/unlocking and have to be operated manually. I wonder if a way to repair rather than spend the $100 ea for new units. (i just said units) Any love for me on this one?? Tks!!!

yes, very easy. i ll have to look where i bought mine but it was definitely less than $100

should clarify... replacing it is very easy. fixing the actual actuator dont know...

The parts I saw ran around $60, though I did not drill down to make sure which ones were the exact fit. I did see a Dorman for $30 with the same caveat.

I'm wondering the same as my driver's door is doing it. I know there's a diff in parts for remote lock/keyless entry and standard ones. No idea why though but that's what rockauto shows for about $60.
