first hello everyone im new to the site...
i have read many forums on this subject but no situation fits mine.
last week my abs bas/esp and traction control came on. my kj is an 07 with 126k on it. when you start it the lights are on, when you put it in drive the lights go out, this is accompanied by a single chime. when the lights are out everything works properly except the abs, you hit the brake on any condition (thanks to michigan) and the abs is active. after you hit the brakes a second time all the lights come back on accompanied by a single chime. in the icy condition it seems my drivers front will drag the tire when the abs is active. (lights out) heres where things get funny, my cruise works at certain speeds (45-50 and 70-76 roughly) and on a snow covered road you hit the brakes (with the lights on mind you) and if the cruise works than the abs and traction control work. but if your not at those speeds nothing works. so what could it be? a speed sensor?
if it helps had new tires (all the same) put on last year.
front end alignment done a few weeks ago before a long trip
replaced passengers front wheel speed sensor about a year ago.
what are your thoughts?
