Electronic Beep from KJ... Am I going crazy?

Every now and then when I lock my doors using the key fob I hear an electronic beep that goes off the same time the horn beeps off. I also would hear it when I lock the doors from the inside. I only notice it every now and then. So I thought I was hearing things until my Girlfriend was asking me about it when she heard it.

I don't have a car alarm and I don't have an Evic. I did a quick seach of the forum and didn't find anything on this.

Has anyone else heard this beep before? Anyone know what it's sounding off for? I'm curious. Thanks!

My 06 Sport does that too, so you're not alone.

My 05 Rocky Mountain Edition does it also and I never have figured out where it is coming from.

I hear it inside the KJ as if it coming from behind the dash on the left side of steering wheel. When I'm outside of the KJ I can hear it crystal clear 10-15ft away from the Kj in any direction. I never thought about finding the source of the sound though.

It's some kind of confirmation beep coming from the BCM which is located behind the fuse panel on the left side of the dash. Mine has done it all along, but I only notice it about one in three times now, and mostly when the doors auto-lock at 15mph.

my 07 does it, not every time but when it does i can hear it where ever i am.

Thanks for the posts guys. At least now I know my KJ isn't a time bomb counting down every time I lock the doors
