My understanding is that the electric radiator fan on my 2005 Liberty CRD is supposed to operate any time the AC compressor is running. My fan does not run when the compressor is running, but I know that the fan works because it runs if I pull out either the low speed or high speed relays. Does the engine or ambient temperature need to be above a certain minimum in order for the cooling fan to run?

The fan uses a separate temp sensor for the a/c condenser. When it gets to a specific temperature it will kick on. Or the high pressure switch will kick the ac off till it cools off enough to alow it to kick on again. It is not supposed to be on the whole time the a/c is on.
