Dome light won't go off

I put on a different front door today now the dome light won't go off. My jeep is an 03 and the door is an 02, don't know if anything is different? I did notice the speaker plug in was but everything else seemed the same. Any ideas? Also what fuse is for the dome lights? Thanks

Maybe a dimple in the jamb doesn't depress the switch plunger enough to make the circuit??? If so you could bond a small plate there or add a screw to activate it.

how exactly does the door tell the jeep weather its open or not??

Ya know what, my comment was bogus. Sorry for that. Door sensors are part of the latch assembly nowadays. Take a look here: Driver door sensor shot? WJ thinks driver door open all the time - HELP
