@tommudd: I think the adjustable track bar was only needed if lifting more than 2.5”. I have one because mine is a 4”. But with OME springs back there, it will be fine with the stock track bar. Also, no need for extended sway bar links or extended brake lines with the 2.5” kit. Life is a lot simpler and less expensive at 2.5” compared to 4”.

Since you’re leaning toward the KJ I have to add:
The KK’s on the market will be younger than the KJ’s with a lot less miles by this time. :D

Yup along with older and higher KJ miles, always inspect for more potential rust issues as well. Rockers and 3rd brake light areas need to be kept clean.
I would recommend a very good mechanical inspection, on what ever Jeep you decide to buy.

If you could choose between a KJ of 2005 with 100.000 Km and a KK of 2010 with 100.000 Km but the KJ at half prize than KK which one would you choose?

That’s for sure, I’m asking more on mechanical and electrical parts that could not be easily been checked.

    No one pointed out:
KJ has mechanically controlled transfer case.
KK has electronically controlled transfer case.
You do NOT want to know how much it costs to replace the 4WD and/or 4LO solenoids if they fail, when you're 500 miles from home, at a ski resort, on top of a snowy mountain, and you have to have it towed, to a local dealership, to get it fixed over the weekend, because you have to be home and at work the next day. (not me, my neighbor.)

Interesting. That would definitely be a problem.

I have an 07, only had for about 6 mths. Has 127k on it now had 124k when purchased $3,600 for it. I had to replace the heater core(after deer season thankfully) but that’s it. I put AT’s on for off-road use. The throttle is very responsive, steering is tight, rides good, interior fine for me (shorty 5’3), Like the spare location, everything works as should.. just my two cents.
