I just put 75w-90 Mobil one in my front and rear diffs. My 07 manual said 75w-90 is preferred if not towing. Mostly I went for synthetic due to longer drain intervals, I don't plan on getting water in my diffs anytime soon (common reason for shorter drain intervals). My opinion is synthetic oil lasts longer / lubricates better and if it does provide better fuel economy (0.25mpg?) that saved energy is heat not being created in my differential.
