I have had it happen a few times, i will be driving and all the dash lights light up for a second as they would when you start the car. Im usually moving and the engine doesn't make any noticeable difference with performance so i am not sure what is causing it. Any idears?

I have read multiple post's of people experiencing strange stuff like this due to loose or corroded battery terminals causing a bad connection. I would start there and have the battery load tested for safe measure. I am sure someone who knows more about this than I will chime in with some advice.

^X2 The Jeep can act real strange if the battery is about to fail or terminals are not clean & tight.
I like to check occasionally the AM volts reading before starting, as well as after starting, the output charging voltage.

Distilled water can be added if you have removable caps, if it's low, & a trickle charge overnight, is recommended before a load test.
Cold weather ***** the cranking amp/juice from a battery as well so, a load test will advise you if a replacement is required.
Start with that and if all is well, the battery's good, yet even then the dash lights still come on, then it's onto codes or connections.

i hope

Havent checked those yet but i have a new battery, less than 6 months old and new positive terminal, new alternator replaced around the same time as well. Could the negative connection cause the issue? It typically happens within a few minutes of starting and driving as well. I am not that worried about it, however one time the headlights went off as well momentarily during the issue. Its a rare occurence about once every 3-6 months.

Sounds like a loose connection some where. Maybe a bad ground, also check the connection between the battery and the PDC.
