over the past month when i first start up the heat in my jeepive been noticing a slight smeel of coolant and if i shut the heat off for 5 minutes or so and kick it back on i can smell the coolant again, this has been with cold weather and i havent been able to find any leaks by looking it over as of yet, there are about 70,000 miles on it, have any of you had a similar issue or know what it could be? im hoping its not my heater core.
thanks

Probably the heater core if you smell it in the cabin.

I had a similar issue where I have been noticing a slight coolant smell. I believe it was my radiator leaking. I discovered a small leak on the drivers side of the radiator, and am in the process of replacing it. Might want to check it over.

As Dave said, heater core would be my first guess, but just thought I'd offer another suggestion.
