I've always use the worm gear clamps from Home Depot. Stainless, reasonable price, and never had a problem with them on anything I've used them on.

Do you have to retighten them at all?

I have the Subaru variety on my 01 Outback and they never need tightening (https://www.smartqualityparts.com/c...PD_BwE#/71-model-2000_2005_outback_and_legacy) but I have had the worm style need tightening. Maybe it depends upon the diameter or I got cheap ones.

The ones from Home Depot I've never had to retighten. Ones I've gotten from Autozone or the like, I've had them loosen over time or just break when putting them on.

the shop that replaced my rad. used worm clamps on mine.
They seem to be holding.

This style seems to be the best of both worlds, it'll work with aftermarket hoses but yet is just like the OEM type where it self adjusts.
