Hello,
I have recently had some check engine light indications with my 2006 KJ. After a quick check of the system with an OBD tester, the code pulled revealed a random misfire. (P0300 I think...)
With most vehicles, I would just go ahead and do the easy maintenance of replacing the spark plugs and plug wires. Unfortunately as you may already know, replacing the plug wires on the 3.7L isnt an option as there are none. I still do plan to replace the spark plugs, however, due to cost, I would prefer to not replace each individual coil.
Is there a way to test the coils to ensure they are still functional? Is there a resistance range I can test for with an ohm meter?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.
Mark.
