Clevis Lift Question

Can a clevis lift be done with stock struts? A simple yes or no will do, provided it is backed up with personal knowledge and not rumor.

it can be done but you cannot use the conduit nuts since they will slide up the clevis mount on the shock.

If you stack a bunch of them on-top of each other they will eventually bottom out but it takes more than it normally would.

You dont NEED to use the conduit nuts. Some people say they dont have them and with it torqued to 100ftlbs it doesnt slide back down in.

So, yes.

I only had mine torqued to specs, 60 ft/lb, & it never slipped. I used an 11mm socket to measure the spacing between the top of the clevis & the little tabs on the struts. That gave me a bit more than 1/2 inch, plus made it easy to make sure that both sides were equal.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that was on the stock suspension.
